Rose water has been used for thousands of years and is most commonly known as the flower of love. In the gardening world the rose has traditionally been known as the queen of flowers and in aromatherapy it is considered the 'queen of essential oils.' Fragrant, luxurious, and full of health benefits, it’s thought to have originated in what is now know as Iran and was heavily used in Europe during the middle ages. Traditionally, rose water has been used both in beauty and for culinary purposes and its essential oil is one of the most sought-after oils in the perfume industry.
In ancient Greece, the rose was closely associated with the goddess Aphrodite and in Christianity it has been linked to the virgin Mary and Mary Magdalene. Now days rose is commonly used in self-love rituals and attracting love from others. One of my favourite ways to use the magic of rose is through flower essences and rose water sprays.
How to use: Shake and spritz anywhere you desire. Rose water is ideal for Dry and sensitive skin.
